Brush Taxi

I happen to be a paint brush collector. Being surrounded by brushes makes me feel very creative and gives me the desire to paint.  That is why I just love the brush holders/totes/carriers from Paintin' Partners.   They are see-through products, and are perfect for showing off your brushes.

Their newest product is called the Brush Taxi.  This wonderful little tote was designed for those of us who attend painting classes.  You can take along your favorite brushes in a small, compact tote that will not take up very much space in your painting class bag.  You also get that wonderful "see-thru" tote so you can see your brushes and choose the brush needed for the next thing that you will be painting.  The top slides right on and off for easy access and also keeps the dust off the brushes when not in use.  I really appreciate the construction because I know my brushes are safe from dirt, from becoming lost and from being damaged during transport.  Don't be fooled by it's size, you can fit a lot of brushes into that little tote.

Down the aisle from our booth at the Las Vegas show was the Paintin' Partners booth.  Everyday I would walk by and see this wonderful, clear, large brush tote.  Well I had to have one!!!  This is such a fun product, that I wanted to share it with all of you.  These totes are made by a couple of very sweet folks, and you would be supporting a small tole business if you decided to get one for yourself.  The quality of the craftsmanship is excellent!  It arrived at my house packaged so carefully, that you know the creators of this tote really love what they make.

If you're like me, and have been painting a while, you accumulate many, many brushes over the years.  I have so many that I was keeping them in several other totes, or buckets, or plastic cups.  This tote was perfect to keep them all together for when I take classes and when I go teaching.   It is very lightweight, even filled with my brushes (as you can see in the photo above).  I will list below the great features of this brush tote...

• Clear - "see thru" so you can find a specific brush quickly, plus I think the whole look of this tote is very cool and stylish.
• Comfortable handle - easy to carry and doesn't hurt your fingers.
• Lightweight - even filled with brushes, it is still light in weight.
• Large - holds many, many brushes (easily over 100)
• Adjustable - so you can accommodate palette knives, thick handled brushes.  I even have my stylus, pens, pencils and picture holder in my tote.
• Fun Latch - the fancy clasp that locks the top of the tote has a loop at the bottom where you can hang a charm or a fun painted ornament so you can personalize your tote.  A name tag hanging from this clasp would be really cute.
• Rubber Feet - so it won't slide off the table.
• Dust Free - keep the top closed and your brushes will be kept free from dust.
• Brush Safety - your bristles will be kept safe from bending and bumping.

There are 48 compartments in this tote.  I arrange my brushes in this way, so I could find them easily (of course you will want to arrange your brushes your own way)  <grin>...

This tote is so roomy, that I decided to dedicate a vertical row to each shape of brush or style of brush and to the sizes...

as you can see, I still have room for more brushes - yahoo!!!  This would be a great space for all my scruffy brushes that I use for stippling and drybrushing.

I think the price is reasonable for this high quality product.  This tote will last you lifetime and it comes with care and cleaning instructions so that you will know how to make it last a LONG time.    Also, you invest a lot of money into your brushes and this tote will insure that they are kept safe and dust free inside this tote.
