"What a wonderful Santa face!" was my first reaction when I first saw this painting instruction book. Peace & Goodwill is one book from Judy Westegaard's "Messages From Santa" collection. It's never too early to start painting holiday projects, and if you're a Santa collector - you'll love this book. Postcards for Santa is the first project and is featured on the front cover. I love the colors Judy used - a bit away from the traditional green and red. The instructions list this wood piece as a tray. The photo looks to me as it is a frame, nevertheless it looks great either way! Santa's face appears kind and gentle - just the way Santa ought to look! The trompe l'oeil postcards are a terrific touch of whimsy. Santa's Satchel is the second project and features trompe l'oeil or faux luggage stickers. I love this idea, it looks like Santa has traveled far and wide during Christmas time! All of the stickers are just adorable - some include Bald Head Maine, Candy Cane Park Montana, and my favorite Reindeer Hills Utah (I wonder where that is?) From this book and all the books in the collection, you can see what a talented painter Judy truly is! This and all the books would be great in your Christmas painting book library.
