Surface:

Supplies:
Zinsser, BIN, Primer Sealer Stain-Killer
Stylus
Sandpaper
Grey Graphite Paper
Flowerpot shaped Glass Votive
3” X 45” Fabric

Preparation:
This jar is a quart Mayo jar. Washed in the dishwasher, then mix vinegar and water and rinse jar. Dry. Spray jar outside with Zinsser, BIN, Primer Sealer Stain-Killer. Let it dry 24 hours.

Directions:
Basecoat jar with Sand, using a 1” sponge brush. Let dry several hours before the next coat of paint. Paint 2 more coats of paint, letting it dry several hours in between coats. Let the jar dry over night. Transfer pattern on with grey graphite paper.

I used a 3/8” angle brush to basecoat bunny and basket. I used a 1/4” angle brush to basecoat eggs. I used a 4 liner to basecoat in nose and eye. I used a 1/2” angle brush to shade everything. I used an 18/0 liner brush for the lines in the eyes and eggs. I used a stylus for all the dots in the eggs.

Bunny:
1. Light Buttermilk: Basecoat bunny.
2. Titanium (Snow) White: Base in eye. Float inside of muzzle.
3. Burnt Umber: Shade all around outside of bunny and basket, so bunny will show up on the light background. Shade around head, inside ears, on top of eye, tail, separate feet and toes. Base in pupil and outline bottom of eye. Shade around top of eggs on bunny.
4. Delane’s Cheek Color: Base in bunny’s nose. Stipple in cheek with a #6 Fabric Dye Scrubber. Load a dry brush and pounce on palette paper then on a paper towel to get most of the paint off.
5. Lamp (Ebony) Black: Outline top of eye and eye lashes.
6. Titanium (Snow) White: Float “C” stroke inside pupil. Paint dots to highlight inside of pupil, nose and cheek.

Basket:
1. Camel: Basecoat basket.
2. Burnt Umber: Shade under all the lines for the basket weave. Shade on the outside of the two lines going threw the weave. Shade top of basket, under the eggs, bottom of the basket and left side of the basket.
3. Golden Straw: Float inside of each weave slate of the basket, to highlight. Float right side of basket to highlight.

Ground:
1. Jade Green: Paint ground under basket.
2. Forest Green: Float on top of ground and walk the floated color to the bottom. Shade under the basket.

Eggs:
1. Two eggs are Peony Pink-Zigzag lines on eggs are Jade Green and Forest Green: Shade egg with Alizarin Crimson.
2. Two eggs are Lavender-lines on eggs are Salem Blue. Shade egg with Dioxazine Purple.
3. One egg is Jade Green-Dots on egg are Dioxazine Purple, then a little dot on top with Camel. Shade egg with Forest Green.
4. One egg is Salem Blue-Strokes are Peony Pink and dots are Sand. Shade egg with True Blue.
5. One egg is Golden Straw-Dot flowers are Dioxazine Purple and center of flowers are Peony Pink. Shade egg with Honey Brown.

Finishing:
Spray jar with Americana Satin Spray finish, let dry and spray again.
Cut a piece of fabric 3” X 45” the width of fabric and fold in half and tie a bow around the top of jar to hide were the lid screws on. Then cut the ties shorter. Insert a flowerpot shape glass votive candleholder in the top of the jar.
