Pin
is cut from 1/4 inch pine (you can use 1/8 if you prefer.) Sand and seal. Sand again.
Trace on pattern omitting details until after basing in house.
Palette DecoArt Americana
White, Moon Yellow, Milk Chocolate, Sand, French Gray Blue, Light French Gray Blue, Deep
Teal, Raw Sienna, Burnt Umber, Mauve Cadmium Yellow, Black, Green Mist
Basing
Birdhouse Milk Chocolate, Sponge on Raw Sienna then Moon Yellow.
Roof Raw Sienna
Base heart hole Moon Yellow
Bird Light French Blue Gray to lighten.
Details
Shade around heart/hole, under eaves of roof, and base of house with Burnt Umber.
Place tiny C strokes of Burnt Umber on roof to form shingles.
Shade inside of heart/hole with Raw Sienna.
Highlight inside of heart/hole with Sand.
Shade Bird with French Blue Gray.
Highlight Bird with French Blue Gray plus White.
Beak is Cadmium Yellow. Eye is Black dot with white highlight.
Stipple Mauve plus white for cheeks.
Using clear ruler draw in lines on heart hole with a .5 permanent black liner pen
After linework is done Stipple Deep Teal, then Green Mist where you want the flowers to
be.
Line in vines with Deep Teal.
Dot in flowers as desired using Mauve, Mauve plus White and White.
Finishing
Varnish with Semi Gloss Varnish. Glue on pin back.
