I can't believe we've been online for 11 years!! To celebrate, here is a fun online design for you to paint for St. Patrick's Day.
I hope you get a lot of kisses! In order to get a good photo, I left off the sparkle glaze (optional) and varnish.

This was painted on a wooden 2 1/4" brooch / rosette. I had this wood from my exhibitor days
and I can only find it now at a Canadian supplier. I would love to have some more,
but the shipping from Canada is expensive because I would have to buy in bulk. If you know where I can purchase these
in the USA, please let me know? Instead of the rosette, it would also look great on any round or square shape!

SUPPLIES
Paint: Apple Green, Light Foliage Green, Light Ivory, Moroccan Red, Seminole (Delta Ceramcoat)
Glaze / Varnish: Sparkle Glaze (optional), Satin Varnish (Delta Ceramcoat)
Brushes: #12 flat, #4 flat, #10/0 short round, #10/0 liner (Black Gold by Dynasty)

Surface: 2 1/4" wooden rosette (www.bearwood.com)
Other: pin back, glue

Finished size: 2 1/4" wood-turned rosette

PAINTING
Apple Green + Light Ivory (mix 1:1) -
base center.
Light Ivory -
drybrush or slipslap highlight in center.
Apple Green -
base outer 1/4" border.
Light Foliage Green -
sideload/float where border meets center circle.

Colors may vary slightly from your actual piece

Seminole - base shamrocks, line stems, line lettering.
Light Foliage Green -
with a teeny tiny brush, drybrush highlights on shamrock leaves.
Apple Green -
add additional - but smaller - highlights on shamrock leaves.
Moroccan Red -
line bow, base hearts, add tutti dots. Pick up some Light Ivory, blend on palette to make a pink, and drybrush highlights on hearts and bow.

OPTIONAL
Sparkle Glaze - brush on glaze if you want some glittery sparkle. Some suggestions are... the entire piece, border only, shamrocks and hearts, shamrocks only, hearts only.

FINISHING
Varnish: apply two coats, letting each coat dry before adding the next coat.
Adhere pin back.

This black and white image is to be used as the pattern / line drawing. Resize to fit your surface.
