PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS

Hark!!! What do I hear??? "Help, help I need a quickie gift!!!"
Well help has arrived. Here are a few ideas that you can finish in a short amount of time.

Surfaces you could use: Paper Mache, Old Cans, Clay Pot, Wooden Hearts, Candles, Watercolor Paper, Paper Bags

Decorating - Fill containers with candy, candles or potpourri. Glue on raffia or ribbon bows
Special Prep: Tin Can - you will need to use a metal primer or metal sealer on the tin first before you paint.

Snowy Night Snowman

Snow Men

This project is quick!!! Great for paper mache boxes, old cans and clay pots

Midnight Blue - Base entire surface
White - Sideload/float hills. When floats are dry, stipple on the snowmen. Use a liner to line the snowflakes.
Pumpkin - Line in the carrot nose with a squiggly motion
Black - Dot in eyes and mouth
Tomato Spice (or any red) - Line in scarf
Christmas Green - Line in other scarf

Speedy Santa

Santa Face

I use this design on clay pots, and then fill the pots with candy.
Red - Base entire surface
Medium Flesh - Base face
Red - Sideload/float nose. Lightly stipple in cheeks
White - Stipple rim of clay pot. Leave it loose so it looks like fur.
White - Base in beard and eyebrows
Red - Base in mouth
Black - Dot in eyes
White - Place a small line in upper eyes for highlight

Rapid Wreath

Wreath

Super quick for boxes and great to paint on white large candles.
Christmas Green - Stipple the entire wreath
Red - Line in the bow, dot in the berries

Candles

Do you have plain candles laying around your house. Why not paint simple designs on them, tie ribbons of satin or raffia around them and give them as gifts!
I suggest simple quick designs on candles.

 Snowflakes

Snow Flakes

- Fast and still pretty. Paint in a consistent pattern or paint "here and there" for a more county look.
Any color - Use a liner brush to paint snowflake lines. Dot the tips of the snowflakes

Short-time Trees

Tiny Christmas Tree

Quick and colorful!
Green - with a liner brush, dash in the tree shape from small to large
Red - add a quick little red dab at the top of the tree
Brown - add a little trunk under the tree

Happy Holidays!!!
