Supplies Needed
DecoArt Americana Acrylic
Paint:
Gooseberry Pink
Lamp Black
Buttermilk
Milk Chocolate
Crimson Tide
Dusty Rose
SEALERS AND VARNISHES
J.W. Etc.'s White Lightning J.W. Etc.'s Right Step Varnish
BRUSHES
Royal Golden Taklon
Series RG 150 # 8 flat
Series RG 160 #3/8 and 1/2 angles Series RG 250 5/0 small round
SUPPLIES
1/4" pine to fit pattern
Glue
Sandpaper
Tack Cloth
Graphite and tracing papers
Fabric bow (threaded, if you'd like)
Button (threaded if desired)
Pin back
PREP STEP
Transfer outline pattern only to the appropriate size wood. Cut on scroll saw from
1/4" pine. Sand on belt sander and hand sand rough edges. Clean dust off of piece
with a tack cloth. Seal with J. W. Etc.'s White Lightning. Allow to dry. Sand and tack
again. Apply pattern lines as necessary as you paint.
BUNNY
Basecoat bunny with Buttermilk and shade with Milk Chocolate. Shade inside ears, drybrush
cheeks and make little dip dot hearts in ears with Gooseberry Pink. Base nose with
Gooseberry Pink, highlight with Dusty Rose and shade with Crimson Tide. Paint mouth with
Milk Chocolate.
Using Lamp Black, make eyes, lashes and brews. Outline the piece using your 10/0 liner.
Highlight nose and eyes with Buttermilk.
FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS
Varnish with several coats of water based varnish. Attach pin back using glue of your
choice. Add fabric bow and button embellishment by gluing to top of head. Enjoy! ! !
