Decor Delights - Free Design - Season's Greetings by Melinda Frewin

Since I have a hard time finding the perfect Ephemera, I get mine from books and image CDs.
This is kind of a non-traditional Christmas card. I wanted it to look a bit vintage
so I used very toned-down colors. The muted hues make it all-the-more charming and the
Santa hats make me laugh - even the doll has one!

SUPPLIES
Image: faux family from More Ephemera book by Beth Cote
Cardstock: Brown, Pine Green, Cream
Rubber Stamps: Large Snowflake Set (Lost Coast Designs), small snowflake
Pigment Ink: brown (Clearsnap)
Specialty Ink: Castaway Stamp Pad (Jacquard)
Paint: Butter Cream, Mendocino (Delta Ceramcoat)
Brushes: short round - Black Gold (Dynasty Brushes)
Pen: permanent black fine liner (Sharpie)
Computer, word processor, color printer: I used Microsoft Word
Font: Fontdinerdotcom Sparkly (www.fontdiner.com)
Other: iron, paper trimer, adhesive

Finished size: 5 1/4" x 6"

FRONT
Ink all edges with brown
1 Make card to finished size from Pine Green cardstock.
2 Stamp snowflakes randomly with specialty ink. Iron after following manufacturer's directions.
3 Cut image from book. Freehand draw Santa hat outlines with pen. Paint with Butter Cream and Mendocino. Let dry.
4 Mat piece with Brown cardstock and adhere.
5 Print "Season's Greetings" on Cream cardstock. Trim, mat with Brown cardstock, and adhere.

INSIDE
1 Print "From the Gang" on Cream cardstock. Trim, mat with Brown cardstock, and adhere. (Optional text: from the kids, from the family, from all of us).
